In the rolling hills of Kasanda District, we at DVC Foundation witnessed a reality that demanded action.
Before our intervention, access to safe water was a daily struggle for the community. Children woke up early each morning, not to prepare for school, but to walk long distances in search of water.ย
They relied on a small, contaminated streamโwater that was unsafe, shared with insects, and often the cause of frequent illness. Families lived with the constant risk of waterborne diseases, and children missed valuable school time simply because clean water was out of reach.
